Spiaggia (spiaggiarestaurant.com) has been one of Chicago’`s most well-known Italian steak houses in the city since its opening in 1984. Chef Tony Mantuano and his team often update a seasonal tasting menu as well as a variety of a la carte options that go above and beyond spaghetti and meatballs. The lavish decor is perfectly suited for Mantuano’s elegant offerings. The Spiaggia dining room features rich fabrics, classic woods and Italian chandeliers. In the Spiaggia dining room, the prices are on the more high end side, but with the three Michelin Star rated menu and a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, Spiaggia is never empty. For more casual eaters, the Spiaggia Cafe is on the second floor of the building and offers a more causal and accessible menu.
