I couldn't imagine a better dining experience for our last evening in Tuscany. Antinori's Osteria served up simple, yet superb interpretations of traditional Tuscan dishes. They paired these dishes with amazing wines, including the 2008 Solaia, at one time considered the best wine in the world! The entire staff at Antinori's took great care with every detail, from the chef who hosted our small, intimate cooking class to the passionate sommelier who shared fond memories of the Antinori winery. At the end of the meal we all felt fortunate to have been able to share this experience with one another. Everyone also agreed that we had learned an amazing amount about Tuscan wine, food, traditions and people over the last 7 days. Jens, as both founder of Gourmet Destinations and our personal escort, has done an outstanding job with this astounding culinary discovery tour. It is my hope that anyone with the desire to go to Tuscany takes the opportunity to travel with Jens, all the while eating, drinking, laughing and learning.
